Once a Wommie Wombat
A children’s picture book about the adventures of a cute, silly and wommie little wombat called Wom.
The adorable and innocent Wom goes about his day without a care in the world. Not minding his own business, he romps through the tall grass, rolls in the squelchy clay, sticks his nose in the bowerbird’s nest and prods at the beehive in the fallen tree branches. It’s understandable that a few grass seeds and splats of clay may stick to your back unnoticed but a leafy tree branch and beehive on your head? Surely any wombat would have been able to tell. Not this Wommie Wombat, not even with a sweet trickle running down his nose.
It’s only when Wom arrives back at the homey tree house does he realise that something is not quite right - as his friend Poss greets him with a squeal of laughter. Don’t worry though Wom, your wommieness may be a little hidden but you look fantastic in your hilarious, new fancy dress costume!

Today I was delighted to read my book "Once a Wommie Wombat" publicly for the first time. Milford Lodge, a daycare centre close to my heart, invited me to read in front of about 50 little kids! It was fun and I actually felt a bit nervous! My daughters were there with me and it was cute to see how proud they were. :)Posted by Poss and Wom on Monday, 2 March 2015
